To sustain momentum in 2H26, the govt. introduced a IDR 26.34 tn stimulus package, maintained fuel prices despite an average ICP of USD 90.46/bbl, and emphasized continued support through infrastructure spending, investment promotion, and credit expansion. Govt. Delayed Implementation of 0.5% E-Commerce Tax Collection on Online Sellers

The govt. postponed the implementation of the 0.5% final withholding tax (PPh Article 22) on online merchants collected by e-commerce platforms until 31 Oct-26, with enforcement now scheduled to begin on 01 Nov-26. The delay aims to support household purchasing power as economic recovery remains a priority, while any tax already collected by designated marketplaces, including Tokopedia, Shopee, Lazada, and Blibli, will be refunded to merchants.
