Bank Indonesia (BI) reported Indonesia’s foreign exchange reserves at USD 146.3 bn as of end-Sep-26, slightly down from USD 146.5 bn in Aug-26. The decline was mainly driven by govt. external debt repayments and BI’s rupiah exchange-rate stabilization measures, partly offset by govt. external borrowing and tax and service receipts. The reserve position was equivalent to 5.3 months of imports, or 5.2 months of imports and govt. external debt payments, remaining above the international adequacy standard of around three months of imports.
